The second annual Parker Art Salon was designed to bring artists out from their studios into the halls. You see, during the day, most artists are working away diligently in their studios and don’t get out much to get to know others in the building. Suprisingly, the community at 1000 Parker was lacking. But thanks to Niina Chebry and Deborah Bakoks (along with many other committed volunteers) that has all changed! It takes months of planning and meetings (and A LOT of vino) to pull off an event and thanks to all this social interaction, the community of the building is thriving!
Artists work is hung on the wall of the halls
“Dramz” was sold to a lovley teacher on the opening night.
This year, we had some very special fetaures including performance art. Makeup artist Evelyn Affleck painted three models representing Picasso, Klimt and Van Gogh. Can you match the artist to the model?
If you missed out, be sure to schedule a visit to the Parker Art Salon next year!
