Recently, I was asked by Kohler Sales Executive Sandee Mann to paint a 1000 pound cast iron tub for their display at the second annual RED Talks (Real Estate Development Talks).
Leading up to the night of painting, I pondered the theme around the event, VIVACITY: Colourful Tomorrow and decided I would work towards a fuid and colourful rendition of flow and water. Seeing that my paintings usually take 3-4 months to complete (sometimes longer) painting with only a 5 hour window was going to be intense! Luckly, my husband was tremendously helpful and both Sandee and the Manager from The Ensuite Burnaby, Agnes Yuen were incredibly supportive during the process.
After we were done working, I drove away a little frazzled, questioning how good the tub would look on display. But upon arrival to the Playhouse Vancouver the following night, all my fears were disolved and I was pleased with the result.
The following gorgeous photos were taken by the talented Brandon Artis.
